Flautist and recorder-player Annabel Knight, together with harpsichordist Robin Bigwood, join forces to present a double-bill of beautiful baroque music in the idyllic surroundings of the incredible Olwpen Manor in the Cotswolds.

8pm La Royalle: Baroque Music for the French Taste
Beauty, opulence and character abound in this feast of baroque music, played on King Louis XIVs favourite ear-soothing instruments – recorders, flutes and harpsichord. Music by Francois Couperin in his 350th anniversary year, and by other virtuoso musicians of the day: Charles Dieupart, Louis de Caix d’Hervelois, and Michel Blavet.
9.30pm Bach after Dark
Robin Bigwood gives a recital of keyboard masterworks by the great JS Bach, including works from The Well-Tempered Clavier and a rare chance to hear the young Bach’s wonderfully flamboyant Aria Variata – a work which tantalisingly pre-empts the seminal Goldberg Variations.
